Dragon Youth (DYW) Wrestling 

DYW is committed growing the sport of wrestling in the Southlake and the North Texas community. All wrestlers will engage in a program that is vertically aligned with Carroll High School’s successful varsity wrestling program, which has won back-to-back district championships and has placed in the top 10 in the state in the last five years under the leadership of Coach Joe Hathaway.  

WHAT INFORMATION DO I NEED TO KNOW?

Dragon Youth Wrestling is for boys/girls in grade K-8th grade. This program will expose kids to the great sport of wrestling.  

*This is NOT UIL Carroll ISD Middle (7th-8th grade) School Wrestling.  

USAW Tournaments: 
Competition is optional but encouraged. Interested parents are encouraged to obtain a USAW Leadership/Coach Membership.  
Fees are paid when you register for tournamnets.
Cost range $17-$50 per tournament. 

What do you need: 
​Practice: 
T shirt, athletic shorts, mouth guard, water bottle, and wrestling shoes.
Fingernails cut short, No pockets, No street shoes. 
 
USA Wrestling Tournament: 
Wrestling headgear, shoes, singlet or 2 piece uniform, mouth guard if you have braces are MANDATORY. wrestlers
